This is one of the pets that will only spawn during special weather conditions, so it only appears while it is raiding, and only on Jaguero Isle. It is important to note that Jaguero Isle has its own weather pattern, so if it is raining on the Cape of Stranglethorn Vale, it might be nice and sunny on Jaguero Isle. The good news is that once it starts raining on the Isle, there are plenty of pet spawns to try and get a rare one. Periods of rain seem to be short-lived, however, the baby apes stay spawned for approx 10-15 mins even if the rain stops.
If you can’t find any baby ape spawns when it is raining, clear the area of the other battle pets and some should spawn, as they seem to share the spawns.
Rares of this pet seem more difficult to come by than other pets, so be prepared to battle alot. The crab it often shares battles with has a healing spell, so be sure to have a pet that does strong damage against aquatic pets.
Young apes quickly learn to hang from branches with their feet, leaving both hands free to fling objects at interlopers.
